A Journalling File System keeps a record of all write actions waiting to be written to disk, enabling the system, on rebooting, to rebuild any files that weren't correctly closed. This used to be a huge problem years ago, before "journalling" file systems were invented for hard drives. An unexpected power loss causes the file to be left in an 'open', indeterminate state, where the program can no longer access the file because it was never 'closed' correctly.
This generally occurs when a program doesn't actually 'close' a file (such as a game save) after writing to it, but keeps it 'open' to save time when it next wants to write to it.
Hopefully this is something they can fix to make doing this unnecessary.
I managed to work around it though after having to delete a save I saved right before having to touch a rope, quitted the game, restarted, without the table active I dropped loads of stuff then used the rope, saved again and activated cheats againĮdit: I tried the table again only with infinite carry weight and used a rope game didn't freak out so I don't know if it is caused by another cheat option, multiple options together or if it was related to my computer or somethingĮdit 2: the infinite stamina is the culprit, with the other cheats using a rope don't cause any issues, if I have the infinite stamina active when I use a rope screen goes all white and doesn't recover.It is unfortunate that the saves become corrupted if the game closes suddenly without exiting properly. I gave it a few more tries with and without the table active I think it's related to rope mechanic itself, you can not be emcumbered while using those ropes and when I had the cheats active I had lots of weight on me without encumberabce
